Local rider and PMBIA-certified coach Katherine Morency is returning to Thunder Bay to offer mountain bike skills coaching to the community this July and August. Since 2021, Katherine has coached mountain biking locally and across the country including Squamish, Whistler, Sault Ste. Marie, and the Horseshoe Valley. She is stoked to be home to share her knowledge and experience with local riders wanting to improve their skills and to find new ways to have more fun on their bike!

Katherine will be offering the community many mountain bike skills clinics and programming for a variety of riders through her company, Motive Athlete Development. All sessions with Motive will include small group-sizes, systematic and skills-based programming as per the PMBIA, and practical on-trail riding experiences. All riders will come away with an improved understanding of how to apply mountain biking skills to improve their safety and, most importantly, have more fun on the trails. For more information and to see the most up-to-date offerings, visit www.motiveathletedevelopment.com.

When she’s not coaching, you’ll still find her out on the trails riding, racing, or volunteering for the club and local events. Throughout July and August, she will also be leading many group rides and Enduro course-previews for the Club.
