We’ve wrapped up grooming for the year after an amazing season of fat biking!
We were able to groom almost all of our 30km of trail thanks to the amazing work of our volunteer grooming crew. One of the highlights was Magma Day, which gave fat bikers some air time with the tabletops and berms getting groomed this year. While the trails are free to ride, they are not free to maintain and take lots of volunteer hours to create great riding conditions. Make sure to grab your Blacksheep membership and toss some cash at our donation link if you enjoyed the trails this winter. Donations help towards gas and snowdog maintenance.
With the temps reaching over 15c this past weekend we’re sure riding dirt is on everyone’s minds. As the snow starts to melt please do your part to help minimize trail damage. A little patience in the spring can prevent lots of work for our volunteers. The Balsam Connector took on significant damage last spring due to riders using it during the freeze-thaw cycles. The new downhill trails will be very susceptible to damage since they did not get a full season to pack in and have lots of large dirt features.
Now’s a great time to bring your bike into the shop for a tune up or score some spring laps on your skis or board. Or if you’re really desperate for some bike therapy, hit the streets! There are plenty of potholes to simulate the black tech trails we all love to ride! Great riding conditions will be here before you know it!
You can stay up to date on trail conditions on our site and Trailforks.
