** Why a day for women riders? Any sport, community or advocacy effort is made stronger and richer by including a greater diversity of perspectives and experiences. Celebrating International Women’s Mountain Biking Day is one of many ways we can encourage and highlight participation of folks who are under-represented in mountain biking (women, in this case) to help make mountain biking more welcoming and more inclusive for riders of all kinds! **
