Welcome new and returning Blacksheep members!
With some warm temps coming our way we are more excited than ever to start riding, building and racing. We wanted to put together this guide for new and returning members to help acclimate into the mtb community.
We need to make sure we give the trails ample time to dry out. We know everyone is itching to start riding the trails. Riding too early can create ruts that make the trails less fun for the rest of the season.
We have a great resource available to check our local trail conditions: https://www.blacksheepmtb.com/trail-conditions/
We frequently update the trail conditions on our website. Make sure to check if you are unsure.
If you are a new mountain biker or looking to refresh on some basics we also have a trail etiquette guide to make it easier to share the trails with others: https://www.blacksheepmtb.com/trail-etiquette/
With COVID-19 restrictions still in effect we are in an uncertain time where planning social events is difficult. We are working hard to provide some group rides, skills clinics and other events that people have been asking for. When we have a better idea of the schedule it can be found here:https://www.blacksheepmtb.com/our-events/
If you are looking for new ways to spend your new found time we will also have many volunteer opportunities. If you are looking to sponsor the club, help facilitate races, or build trails you can find more information here: https://www.blacksheepmtb.com/getinvolved/
For new members looking for more information on the existing trail network, a great and interactive map with descriptions and photos can be found here: https://www.blacksheepmtb.com/trails/
