This is a bit overdo here, but here’s an update about what’s been going on with your BS exec.
First and foremost, we’d like to extend a thank you to Will Takacs for joining the executive as our Vice President. Our more veteran members may remember Will as being our communications director about 3-4 seasons ago. We’re excited to have you back, and can’t wait to work with you for the soon-approaching season.
We’d also like to thank Mike Barten on his promotion from “bike rider” to Sponsorship Director! We’re excited to have you on board.

It’s no shocker that we’ve been struggling with volunteers. We’ve said before that without riders offering to help out at an executive level, we might not be able to run the series. Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing better than seeing our riders out building at our trail days or helping out at our races! But without someone to lead them from the executive, we can’t deliver the expected level of service you’ve come to expect from us.
There will be no downhill season for 2017. We’re simply lacking the manpower to run the series. If someone steps up, we’ll be more than willing to work with them, but until then, we’re left with no other choice.
